Using a Wireless Router/Access Point
Connect your Brother printer and Apple mobile device to the same wireless router/access point.
Without a Wireless Router
Set up a direct wireless network connection between your machine and mobile device via Wi-Fi Direct.
Setting Up Wi-Fi Direct
1. Ensure your Brother machine supports Wi-Fi Direct.
2. Go to the wireless network settings page on your mobile device and enter the SSID (Network Name) and password.
3. Press "OK" on your Brother machine to start the Wi-Fi Direct setup.
4. Connect your mobile device to your Brother machine as the Group Owner (GO).
Manual Configuration for Wi-Fi Direct
If your mobile device does not support Wi-Fi Direct or WPS, you can manually configure a Wi-Fi Direct network:
- Press "Settings" > "Network" > "Wi-Fi Direct" on your machine.
- Enter the SSID (Network Name) and password.
- Connect your mobile device to the Wi-Fi Direct network using the SSID and password.
Printing and Scanning with a Mobile Device
Once connected, you can use features like printing and scanning from your mobile device via:
- iOS: Brother iPrint&Scan
- Android: Brother Mobile Connect
